Bachelor of Education (Arts or Sciences) Degree with at least Second Class Honour (Upper Division) or its equivalent from a recognized institution OR Bachelor of Education (Arts or Sciences) Degree with Second Class (Lower Division) or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.

In addition, the candidate must have scored a minimum of grade B in the area of specialization.

Duration: Two (2) academic years

Tuition fees:

·           Non-East Africans Ksh. 260,000/=

Statutory fees: Ksh. 25, 000/=

Fees is paid per semester as follows:

Bachelor of Education (Arts or Sciences) Degree with Second Class (Lower Division) or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.

Bachelor Degree in Arts (B.A) or Science (B.Sc.) with at least TWO teaching subject areas acceptable to the TSC

Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education)

Mean Grade C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in Biology/GSC, C (plain) in English, D+ (plus) in Math and C+ (plus) in TWO Teaching subjects.

OR

KCSE Mean Grade C (Pain) or DIV III with a minimum aggregate of thirty-three (33) points at KCE or equivalent or one (1) principle and one (1) subsidiary at KACE and be a holder of a P1/S1/Diploma in Primary Education or Special Education with a Minimum of Credit from an institution recognized by the Commission for University Education with not less than Two (2) years teaching experience

      OR

KCSE mean grade of C-(minus) or equivalent plus a P1 certificate and a minimum of credit in Diploma in Primary Education, plus five (5) years relevant teaching experience.

Weekend

(Mombasa)

East Africans Ksh. 216,000/=.

Non-East Africans Ksh. 252,000/=

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)

Mean Grade C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in Biology/GSC, C (plain) in English, D+ (plus) in Math and C+ (plus) in TWO Teaching subjects.

OR

KCSE Mean Grade of C (Plain) or its equivalent and be a holder of Diploma in Early Childhood Education with a Minimum of Credit one (1) from an institution recognized by the Commission for University Education.

OR

KCSE Mean Grade of C (Plain) or equivalent, with a P1 certificate from an institution recognized by the Commission for University Education and two years relevant work experience.

OR

KCSE Mean Grade of C- (Minus) or equivalent, with Credit one (1) in Diploma ECE from any institution recognized by the Commission for University Education with not less than two (2) years teaching experience.

Weekend

(Mombasa)

East Africans Ksh. 216,000/=.

Diploma in Guidance and Counseling

Mean Grade of C. (plain) at KCSE or its equivalent.

OR

Diploma or degree holder in any community related work.

OR

Mean grade of D+ (plus) and a Certificate in related area from a recognized institution/KNEC.

The applicants will pay a non-refundable processing fee in the Pwani University Bank Account and ATTACH THE RECEIPT (bank deposit slip) to the duly filled application form on returning it to the University.

Accommodation: The University has limited on-campus accommodation for government sponsored students. However, private Hostels at affordable rates are available in the neighborhood of the University for all categories of students.
